Se devi fare una videochiamata a un amico che vive dall’altra parte del mondo, probabilmente non ti trovi impreparato. Al giorno d’oggi, c’è l’imbarazzo della scelta. Ma se quello che cerchi è un’applicazione con un bel design, un’alta qualità video e che ti permetta di fare videoconferenze con più di 2 partecipanti, allora solo uno è il programma che fa per te.

Si chiama ooVoo. È gratuito. È piacevole da usare. È in italiano. Hai presente Skype? ooVoo gli somiglia molto, ma se possibile è ancora più intuitivo. E sicuramente più bello: uno dei suoi punti forti è proprio il fresco design dell’interfaccia: 3D e in pieno stile Mac. OoVoo ti permette di videochiamare gratis in modalità VoIP (i telefoni fissi e mobili sono supportati solo in Nord America, per ora).

Per quanto riguarda le funzionalità di contorno con ooVoo puoi creare e gestire la tua lista contatti, accedere alla cronologia dei messaggi inviati e ricevuti, inviare messaggi di testo, come tutti gli altri programmi di messaggistica istantanea. In più, puoi anche registrare e inviare messaggi video.

Peccato che per ora ooVoo non sia diffuso come i suoi più anziani concorrenti: sarà difficile, quindi, sperimentare subito videochiamate con 6 partecipanti (funzionalità di ooVoo SUPER offerta in prova per 30 giorni con questo download), nonostante la possibilità di importare contatti da diversi servizi di posta come Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail e così via.

La qualità delle immagini di ooVoo, come quella del suono è impeccabile, anche senza una webcam particolarmente avanzata. Puoi aggiungere effetti speciali all’immagine durante la conversazione. Tuttavia, una qualità video di così alto livello nasconde un inevitabile consumo di RAM. E qualche altra magagna, come una connessione saltellante e un trasferimento dei file lento. ooVoo è davvero roppo lento.

[html_it]ooVoo è un softphone per effettuare telefonate VoIP gratuite via internet. Si tratta di un programma gratuito ma completo e professionale, con tutte le funzionalità e le caratteristiche dei migliori client VoIP. Le funzioni di base sono adatte a una utenza di tipo privato e permettono di comunicare gratuitamente con parenti e amici sfruttando la tecnologia VoIP, inclusa chat, traferimento file e molto altro.

ooVoo è inoltre disponibile con funzioni premium adatte anche ad una utenza business. Il programma permette infatti di effettuare una videoconferenza online fino a 6 partecipanti contemporaneamente, sfruttando le caratteristiche del video ad alta risoluzione e molto altro come ad esempio condivisione desktop, invio file fino a 25mb, registrazione di chiamata e upload su host remoto.
