Ashampoo Internet Accelerator 2.1.0. ottimizza la connessione internet in modo automatico e veloce. Può essere usato in due maniere: utente base o utente avanzato. Per la prima modalità basterà selezionare il proprio tipo di connessione e premere "optimize automatically" e il programma farà tutto il resto in modo autonomo. La seconda modalità da accesso a una serie di opzioni che si possono impostare a mano: Rwin ; TTL (Time to live); valori MTU (tra cui figura l'opzione "MTU Auto Discovery" che fa negoziare i valori direttamente al server e al client) e così via. Le impostazioni manuali vanno usate con cura perchè valori errati possono avere l'effetto contrario, e cioè causare perdita di dati e rallentamento della connessione. Per sicurezza è sempre meglio dare un'occhiata alla guida del programma, che spiega nel dettaglio cosa riguardano questi parametri. Una volta applicate le modifiche il computer va riavviato perchè queste abbiano effetto. Comunque lo stato originario delle impostazioni può essere sempre ripristinato in seguito. Note: il programma non va usato su computer che vengono usati come server; richiede Internet Explorer 5.0 o superiore.
